About Lisvane
In Welsh, Lisvane is known as Llysfaen, meaning a 'Stone Court'.Built on land that has been occupied since at least the mid 12th century.
In 1869 the reservoir was built.
In 1944 the splendid rambling and wooded Cefn On park was built.
Lisvane became a suburb of Cardiff in 1974.
