History
Built in the 1883. The name derives from the Welsh word Ysblad, meaning a dry spot in marshland, where the pub was built. It was built by the landowner for a Steel works.There apparently is a ghost called Matilda in the skittle alley.

Inside
This Cask Marque pub has extremely friendly bar staff that create a great community feel. Many of the locals are friends of the bar staff.They call it a working mans pub, but it also attracts all ages with the pool, darts and skittle alley.
It has a traditional look and feel, with a long bar and large lounge.
Children are only allowed in for functions such as Wedding receptions.
