This distinguished looking pub was built in 1901. Originally somwhat smaller, with the house next door used as an extension.Apparently haunted by a Woman in the cellar who complains about look of modern clothing.

Inside
This is a very lively, community minded pub with a tradition look and feel.It attracts all ages and backgrounds.
The rear garden caters for French Boules.
Food is varied and seasonal.
The friendly management have a flexible approach - if something is not on the menu they'll try to cater for you anyway. They even sell their own home made jams, chillies and oils.
At the time of writing, part managed by Maria, mother of Charlotte Church.
