History
This Grade 1 listed building was built in 1450. formerly owned by Squire Williams, along with the whole of Llanrumney. Both were bequeathed to the Council.Became a pub in 1956.

Totally unexpected in the middle of the Llanrumney estate, Ball Road opens out into a large tree lined field, with this fabulous building in the corner along a lane.Inside, the sunny L shaped bar leads to the antique looking lounge, which retains the original, priceless fire place, and a 300+ year old Morgans table.
The central bar is built in mahogany, as is the staircase behind, which leads to B&B accomodation upstairs for up to 14 guests.
Co-owned by the management is an American bar in Missouri, whose customers occasional visit.
