Sitting pretty opposite the Parish Church of St Denys, this is an old country pub of great character. The main bar area leads up to a raised non-smoking lounge, and up stairs to a balcony seating area with a commanding view of the pub, and huge antique chandelier (the right hand small picture). Proverbs are written on some of the woodwork.Specialising in guest ales, this pub principally attracts the over 25's, with a quality food menu + specials, TV sport, and a traditional pub setting.
