History

Known for some time as the Coronation working mens club, it was renamed in the late 1960's to Le Mans, and then in the 1970's as Scaramouche. Both of these incarnations were nightclubsw ith occasional strippers.

It became a traditional pub called the Exchange in 1986 and changed hands in 2004 to become the Cornerstone.

Inside

The white and black exterior hides a very colourful and comfortable interior. The layout, especially the lounge is amazingly inviting, with commissioned paintings, deep chairs, cosy lighting and a warm fire.

This has generated a friendly atmosphere, attracting well behaved customers, and much of the credit for this is down to the gentlemanly nature of the landlord.

Don card game is played on Thursdays.
