History

Built in Victorian times as the Clive Arms Hotel, with the original horse shelter still retained in the back garden.

It is apparently 'madly' haunted, with very regular occurences of a man in uniform by the jukebox, and a midget in the cellar. So haunted in fact, that some staff refuse to go to the cellar.

A kitchen is due to be installed in Feb 2006.

Inside

A traditional, and surprisingly large community pub, attracting all ages. Divided into a number of areas, with 5 long settees, one leather and a good sized grass garden at the rear.

It has won many awards, including the Whitbread prize on so many consecutive years that they abandoned the award. Visit at christmas time, and you'll see the effort they make.
