A small, cosy traditional pub with a real coal fire that extends via an arch to a smoking lounge and to a lounge and dining area.

The friendly management attract loyal customers, along with occasional pop bands such as the Super Furry Animals.

A working mans pub, staunchly holding onto their tradition. They serve a good range of food, including specials, with Welsh and seasonal food of particular note.

Parking is available in the free car park behind the pub, accessible from Cowbridge Road East.
Around 100 years old, the middle room was a snug, and the lounge/dining-area was a smoking room.

Used to have a dart board and pool table.

What a dreadful dirty dump......my friend and I went in there during the rugby, Women at the bar were clearly very friendly with the landlady , they attempted to barge into us to start trouble to impress her, who appeared to enjoy it,
They were incredibly rough and very bored hence their need for wanting trouble...I was so appalled I even contacted brains who owns the pub.....If ANY landlord/lady anywhere are encouraging unpleasantness to occur in a pub, all you have to do is go to the top of the ENTRANCE door, (their names will be on the license plate above).
OR inform cardiff council ,,, that will deal with any idiots...
They DO NOT like new faces....at the bar it quoted;
"if you dont like out attitude, F*** off"

What scum . . . .
